As you know, we just released a new version of Front. While some of the changes are immediately noticeable, we wanted to provide an overview of every change you can expect to see. You can also read more about why we made the changes on our blog.
Left-hand Pane: You can now access settings, analytics, contacts, and activity feeds from the left hand pane. We are also working on multi-organization functionality, and this is where you’ll be able to switch from one organization to the other.
Notification center: We have moved the notification center to the top, so it is now more visible.
Compose: The compose button can now be found on the top left-hand corner.
Top bar: There is a new top bar on the 3rd pane, which makes the reply button more visible and makes assigning and following conversations more intuitive.
Comments: Comments now appear inline and are no longer associated with specific messages, which makes them more visible.
Conversations: Incoming messages now appear in chronological order, and everything but email is uncollapsed by default. Together with inline comments, they make your communication more conversational.
Attachments: You can now see attachments when your conversations are collapsed.
Channels: The icon of the channel you’re communicating on now appears in the second pane.
Emojis: You can now add emojis to all of your emails. To add an emoji, type “:” into your email, and begin writing the name of the emoji you would like to add. You will see a number of options – just choose the emoji you want, and press enter!
Contact details: When you are viewing a conversation, you can now see your entire message history and all of the attachments received the plugin on the right.
